ALFMED (France) – Project Coordinator

ALFMED is an accredited Language Training center specialized in Languages (9 taught) and founded in 2005, active in the fields of VET, Adult and Youth. The core activity of ALFMED consists of 3 activity sectors:

  • providing continuous Language training for French companies / Certified Examination center for TCF-TOEIC -BRIGHT
  • offering French linguistic and cultural immersion combined with work based learning,
  • International and European Mobility projects management & counselling for VET schools, High Education training centers and SMEs

As a continuous training center for French companies, ALFMED has a very strong implication in the local SMEs market and has developed some expertise in the vocational training along with VET schools and companies, including labor market needs.

ALFMED is very active in the field of Language counselling and assessment towards IVT and HE institutes as well as company Clusters (Pole Action Media, St Charles Export) and public agencies for unemployed/social inclusion:

  • ALFMED offers Language training: 600 people/300 companies trained yearly, 9 languages taught
  • As an active member of the UPE66, Trade Union of Entrepreneurs, Women entrepreneur FCE, French Tech -Perpignan associate member
  • As a Erasmus+ hosting partner for 14 years, 1400 internships set up
  • As an Erasmus sending coordinator for VET school consortium : 50 per year
  • As a European partner, ALFMED is involved in KA2 transversal European projects since 2009. These projects allow the center to improve the quality and recognition of competences acquired through mobility, to promote WBL apprenticeship among SME’s and VET schools.

A multilingual staff of 15 workers takes care of the related activities of the academy, including 5 native teachers.

Instalofi Levante S.L. (FyG Consultores) is a Spanish private, high-level training enterprise, pioneers in co-creation with companies, adults and young people in the training on innovative concepts, business creation, employability, basic skills, literacy and numeracy skills, entrepreneurship and soft and hard skills training.

FyG is specialized in business development and innovative solutions related, among others, with the provision of training courses to SME’s, entrepreneurs and Start-Ups. FOYLE INTERNATIONAL (UK)

Foyle International, established in 1990, is a language school based in the beautiful and historic city of Derry, North West Ireland. As the longest established language school in Northern Ireland, and the first to receive the prestigious British Council Accreditation marquee we pride ourselves on providing quality courses and an excellent, friendly service.

We specialize in providing quality and innovative language teaching, social & activity programmes, summer school and vocational training. We have experience hosting thousands of participants and students over the past 20 years and preparing them for their training period.  We have designed curricula for language development, cultural awareness and work preparation.

Foyle International has been involved in LDV mobility programmes since 1995 as both a sending and receiving organisation. In more recent years we have been at the forefront of improving quality and quantity in our mobilities by being involved in Leonardo Partnerships and have played a lead role in researching, experimenting and implementing Credit transfers (ECVET) within mobilities on a number of different projects. To date we have worked on 4 projects which covered ECVET in a range of vocational areas.

Foyle International works very closely in conjunction with the North West Regional College in delivering programmes and working on projects and as we are a recognised and as an accredited vocational education and training provider offering courses from Pearsons (Edexcel) and OCNNI.  We have access to additional support and resources regarding qualifications, learning outcomes, assessment and assessment criteria from the various bodies we are affiliated with (British Council, Pearsons/Edexcel, OCNNI, English UK, University of Cambridge (CELTA), Trinity).

We receive between 600-700 beneficiaries per year on funding projects from across Europe and we have a huge network of employers throughout Northern Ireland that host our beneficiaries in different fields. We are constantly involving employers in Life Long Learning programmes and they are now becoming more active in raising the quality of the placements and understanding the importance of Mobility of young people in Europe and the benefits which it can bring to the local community financially and culturally.

Foyle International has extended operations into the Software Service Industry, with our new product the ‘Internship Management Centre’. This new direction for the business is to bolster existing frameworks within Foyle International and furthermore to become a recognised supplier of innovation within the English language education sector.

FOXPOPULI (Sweden)

Is a Swedish non-governmental organization and foundation specializing in European Union funded projects supporting technological, educational, social and intercultural dialogue, social inclusion, non-formal education training and cultural exchange among young people and adults. The organization is located in the south of Sweden and our aim is to focus on innovative research and development and contribute to the technical as well as social development of people and companies within the EU and neighbouring countries.

Since 2012 we have been involved in many EU funded projects, both as leader as well as partner, covering a broad range of areas such as entrepreneurship, technological, educational, cultural, social and development projects such as Erasmus plus KA2 and KA1, Erasmus Youth, Grundtvig, Leonardo da Vinci etcetera.

We currently work on a number of large EU funded projects across Europe.

UNIVERSITY OF ROME UNITELMA SAPIENZA (Italy)

The University of Rome Unitelma Sapienza was founded in 2004 and is one of the 11 authorized on-line universities recognized by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research to issue educational qualifications with legal value; in fact, the University counts within its Board of Directors a permanent presence of a delegate of the Ministry. Unitelma Sapienza represents a unique case, as it is in fact the only university directly linked to the largest Italian and European public university, Sapienza University of Rome, in quality of its on-line branch.

Unitelma on-line university is highly research and innovation-oriented being 2.5% of its income allocated to R&D and conferences / workshops promotional activity on “hot” themes very intense. Furthermore, every year transformations in technology, teaching and student services are introduced in a perspective of continuous improvement of the training offer and quality learning.

From a didactic point of view, Unitelma Sapienza supports students for identifying and valuing their skills by offering a variety of Bachelor, Masters’ and post-graduation courses in the following sectors: Economics, Law, Informatics and Social sciences; it offers also MSc of 1st and 2nd level, both in Italian and also in English (e.g. MSc in International Cooperation, Finance and Development – ICO). It counts nowadays around 7.000 enrolled students (manly working ones) which can benefit from the opportunity to study at home at any time of the day. Concerning Unitelma’s exploited on-line technology it refers to an ad hoc Moodle platform for delivering video-registered lectures including the referring set of slides and other useful learning material. Single courses are supported by dedicated Tutors who provide personal assistance and arrange webinars.

Finally, the University has recently launched a School of Financial Cooperation and Development (SFIDE) founded to analyse relations between real economy and the financial one having as a reference Italy in the EU context and in the international scenario. Moreover, the School is aimed to promote external collaboration with other national and international universities, private companies, associations etc. with the objective of developing and promoting research and advanced education.

FOUNDATION FOR THE PROMOTION OF ENTREPRENEURIAL INITIATIVES (Malta)

The Foundation for the Promotion of Entrepreneurial Initiatives (FPEI) is a private not-for-profit foundation set up by the Malta Business Bureau (MBB) and the University of Malta (UoM), with the mission of promoting and supporting entrepreneurship. FPEI encourages all forms of entrepreneurship, from high tech, high growth ventures to social enterprises.

FPEI aims to collaborate with other local and international partners to establish new initiatives and provide tools that will help promote entrepreneurship in Malta.

FPEI believes that entrepreneurial skills are essential for the economy’s ability to grow and generate employment. Although entrepreneurship is not limited to starting a business, FPEI believes that this is the most obvious and key example of entrepreneurship and that it’s the activity that requires the most encouragement and support. Moreover, FPEI believes that access to finance is the key barrier to entrepreneurship.

For these reasons, its first focus is on alleviating the access to funding problem and on providing support to entrepreneurs to start-up and scale-up.

Bit cz training, s.r.o. is a Czech private company founded in 2005. Bit cz training has extensive experience in the field of educating youth/adults in employment measures. Organization has enough experience in national and international projects as well as with the development of learning materials, teaching methods and ICT expertise.

The main activities are aimed at:

  • developing “tailor made” educational programmes for management skills and developing consulting conceptions in the free market for clients from industrial enterprises and public service institutions as well as not-for-profit organisations by way of analysing educational needs;
  • preparing and realizing educational courses and seminaries;
  • developing, pilot testing innovations which support job market acceleration;
  • realization of projects within the scope of EU initiatives – from the early stages of project idea development, drawing up a project application, project and financial management, to evaluation.

Danmar Computers LLC, established in 2000, is a private company operating in the field of Information Technology and providing vocational training in this field. Danmar has experience in developing modern Web and mobile applications that are used for educational purposes. Danmar also has long-term experience of carrying out European projects within which the R&D staff conducts research and prepares trainings tailored to the needs of various learners. It has successfully implemented over 90 projects within Grundtvig, Leonardo da Vinci, Progress and recently Erasmus+. Besides being the technical partner, in many of these projects Danmar is responsible for designing and coordinating dissemination strategies. Danmar Computers is the developer and provider of AdminProject, the on-line system for management of European projects.

All activities of the company are based on wide and well-established cooperation network, both at national and international level. The national networks include training and counselling institutions, universities, schools, non-governmental organisations, as well as private sector companies. International networks include partners of various profiles coming from every European Union’s country.
